About Us
Ther Development Center (TDC) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Al-Muthanna Governorate, Iraq.
Founded in 2009, TDC is officially registered with the Council of Ministers’ NGO Directorate.
We work across all Iraqi provinces to promote inclusive local development, citizen participation, and public sector transparency, with a particular focus on governance, natural resource management, and community-led planning.
TDC is a member of the Iraqi Alliance for Transparency in the Extractive Industries (PWYP Iraq) and the Ain Election Monitoring Network, and collaborates with international and local partners to advance Iraq’s democratic and developmental transformation.
We believe that real development starts when communities have a voice, and local systems are transparent, inclusive, and accountable.
Our Vision
A democratic, inclusive, and sustainable Iraq where local communities actively shape their development priorities and public policies.
Our Mission
To strengthen civic participation, local governance, and transparency in Iraq by empowering citizens, fostering partnerships, and promoting evidence-based development.
