1. Youth Leadership Program
Donor: National Endowment for Democracy (NED)
Period: 2013–2016
Objective: To prepare a generation of young leaders from Al-Muthanna capable of addressing public issues by mentoring university students from their first academic year until graduation.
2. Public Policy Advocacy Program for Civil Society Organizations
Donor: Project on Middle East Democracy (POMED)
Period: 2015–2022
Objective: To build the capacity of CSOs in Al-Muthanna to write quality public policy papers that offer solutions to local governance challenges.
3. Local Budget Transparency and Participation Program
Donor: National Endowment for Democracy (NED)
Period: 2018–Present (Ongoing)
Objective: To strengthen public participation and transparency in local government budgeting in Al-Muthanna and Al-Diwaniyah by facilitating regular dialogue between community members and local officials.
4. EITI Advocacy Program
Donor: Publish What You Pay (PWYP)
Period: 2020–2023
Objective: To build the capacity of the Iraqi Transparency Alliance in Extractive Industries to advocate for improved transparency in Iraq’s oil and gas sector, with active youth participation across all regions.
5. Electoral Law Reform Program
Donor: International Republican Institute (IRI)
Period: 2020–2022
Objective: To support electoral reform by reviewing previous elections, identifying legal gaps, and proposing amendments to increase participation and fairness in Iraq’s electoral system.
6. Private Sector Engagement Program
Donor: Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE)
Period: 2023–2024
Objective: To empower private sector organizations (Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Industry, Businessmen’s Union) in Al-Muthanna to participate in local decision-making processes through structured dialogue with local authorities.
