Within the activities of the project (Think, Discuss, Create for Iraq), Ther Development Center held a round table session for experts and academics, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in Samawa, to discuss to write down their views on the experience of the previous provincial councils. Mr. Haider Al-Wahami, advisor to the Governor of Muthanna, Mr. Kazem Al-Khafaji, Director of the Office of the Electoral Commission in Muthanna, Mr. Hassan Kateh, Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department in the Muthanna Governorate Diwan, and Mr. Obeida Muhammad, representative of MP Basem Khazal Khashan. The participants gave opinions and ideas about evaluating the experience of previous governorate councils and the best solutions to address errors That accompanied that experience and the best electoral systems that can result in successful provincial councils. We thank all the professors who attended and participated, and we look forward to their participation in other sessions in the service of the public interest.
