Ther Development Center, in cooperation with the (Naqdar) team in Karbala, held on June 14 a session to discuss a policy paper on the prospects for cooperation between the local government and non-governmental organizations. Muhammad Al-Qazwini, representatives of the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the representative of the UNDP, Mr. Ali Kamouna, the Director of the Parliament’s Office in the Karbala Governorate, the Director of the Women’s Department in the Karbala Governorate Diwan, and several media professionals and representatives of NGOs active in the governorate, the meeting discussed ways to implement the cooperation mechanism Between local governments and non-governmental organizations in the field of monitoring and supervision issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in 2019, and the local government in Karbala Governorate, through the words of the Deputy Governor, expressed its willingness to cooperate with non-governmental organizations to develop services provided to citizens.
